Bible Discussion
- Read John 14:27. How does the peace offered by Jesus differ from the peace that the world offers?
- John 16:33 is an often-quoted verse. How does this truth encourage you this Christmas?
- Read Isaiah 26:3. According to this verse, how do we obtain perfect peace?
- Another verse that instructs us on peace is Colossians 3:15. In what ways does being members of one body relate to the call to peace? How does unity within the body of believers contribute to a peaceful community?
- Read Luke 1:78-79. What do you think the metaphors of “the rising sun” and “those living in darkness” represent? How are light and darkness related?
