Globally, through our partnership with Compassion International, COMMUNITY has sponsored over 1,400 children at six different partner churches. Compassion’s child sponsorship program is labeled by Christianity Today as the best long-term alleviation of poverty strategy. Today, through Compassion’s church planting strategy, they are leading the way in reproducing ministry not only in Haiti, but throughout Central and South America, seeing over 450 people every day making decisions for Christ.

Child Sponsorship
COMMUNITY attenders have sponsored over 1,500 children throughout the history of our partnership. This means that over 1,500 children living in the poorest areas of the world, have access to food, clothing, medical care, education and spiritual development. More importantly, through a relationship focused in letter writing, these children have the opportunity to feel loved and experience the hope that enables them to break the cycle of poverty in their families, community, and country.

Goals for This Year
The Compassion Team’s goal for this year is to plant another church in Central America, giving another 200 children the chance to escape poverty. In addition, COMMUNITY would like to work with our partner churches sin Haiti to develop a Child Survival Center which will enable 40 mothers and babies to survive in preparation for entry into the Compassion program. On May 31, 2019 COMMUNITY will hold a Compassion Sunday where every location will have the opportunity to sponsor these children and increase the number of lives impacted to over 2,000 through our six-year partnership with Compassion International.
