As a Kids’ City Leader, I’m excited to help children grow and develop a personal relationship with God.  When I first came to Community, I was awed by the children in this community. 

Children ranging in ages shared their joy for the Lord with exuberance.  I could tell they truly had a personal relationship with Jesus and had not just assumed the faith of their parents.  Having spent time in Kids’ City, I’ve discovered how Community helps children find their way back to God.  I have also been given the gift of getting to know many dedicated, talented, loving, and generous adults who serve in this ministry.

Awhile back, I learned that Kids’ City had a need for more contributors.  I must admit at first I did not think this would be the best fit for me.  I don’t have children of my own, and as an elementary school teacher, I work with kids all week.  The thought of writing another lesson plan was inconceivable.  However, I felt God nudging me.  After touring Kids’ City I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I did not have to write another lesson plan. The lessons and materials are provided each week.  After many prayers, I felt God leading me to set aside all my reservations and step up to serve.  I am so thankful I was obedient to him.  I have been rewarded, my faith has been affirmed, and I have been able to lead children in amazing discussions as we experience God together.
