I had the amazing opportunity to attend our StuCo event for Junior High and High School students call Blast, this past weekend. There were over 850 students and leaders who attended. It was absolutely amazing!!! One of my favorite parts was seeing my former Kids' City kids now in Junior High, some of them in High School, excited about God and fearlessly drawing closer to Him. It was so rewarding. Just a really cool example of what an important role we play in laying a foundation for them to grow on. Sometimes as a Kids' City leader it is hard to see that all your hard work is paying off but I am thankful to say that it is paying off! What an amazing group of kids. I love being a part of this incredible church. God is on the move!! If you want to be a part of laying the spiritual foundation in the lives of our next generation please talk to your Kids' City or StuCo director at your campus. It is an incredible honor to play a role on this team!

After starting Kids’ City Tuesdays in the spring of last year, we knew that families were going to be transformed in East Aurora! On January 10, 2010 Community Christian Church celebrated the launch of their 10thcampus and their first bi-lingual campus ever! Guess who walked through the doors? Kids’ City Tuesday kids with their parents!! What an amazing picture to witness! Transformed families through the children!
I have always been a believer that our children are the leaders of today; on January 10th I saw my beliefs brought to life. As I walk the halls of “the Lighthouse” on Tuesdays and Sundays, I get approached by girls looking for prayer. A prayer for a mother that is incarcerated in Kentucky, prayer for parents getting divorced or for siblings and cousins wounded by gang violence. It is then that you stop and wonder, “Lord, how have you given me this honor to be a part of these children's lives?” You just can’t help but be thankful for the charge you have been entrusted with, to be a beacon of light in the darkness of their lives. Or is it that they are the light in our lives?
The entire Kids’ City Team in East Aurora now has the great commission to celebrate, connect and contribute in an impactful way every week, all week, and for that we thank you Lord!

With
growth and more families coming to Romeoville, we've had an increase in
the number of kids coming to Kids' City too! It's a great problem to
have, but we need more helping hands. Did you know that Kids'
City provides everything you need to lead or help in a room? There are
various ways you can help from being in our Wiggleway nursery and
simply holding a baby so new parents can attend and experience a
worship service, to acting on our Kid's City large group stage.
Similarly there are opportunities to invest in our kids through being a
small group leader to an age specific group of kids.
