Jesus is divine, but he was also human.

Without Jesus’ humanity, we see him as a superhero, someone who didn’t really experience the limitations we experience – not a very realistic example to follow. Instead, Jesus emptied Himself of the divine to become fully human. He walked in our shoes and showed us the way to flourish as human beings. In fact, in Jesus, we see who humans were originally designed to be. Through his death and resurrection, he has restored our lost humanity.
