5th Grade Move Up

Is Moving in your Future?  If you’re in 5^th grade it is.  Last month the Downtown, Plainfield, and Yellow Box  campuses hosted a joint 5^th Grade Move Up Dinner to honor students who are transitioning into Junior High Small Groups/StuCo.

 This event was designed to encourage them in their next steps spiritually and practically, so they can begin to make those “friend” connections and feel a part of the group even before the first StuCo meeting in the fall.    Those who attended were the

• First to get the NEW StuCo T-shirts!
• First group with move-up dinner in new location due to a large number of attenders
• First 5^th graders to experience the last StuCo event of the ’08-09 school year

They saw a preview of summer camp and got to play ‘Stump Shawn’ with StuCo Q&A.  If you are or have a 5^th grader who was unable to attend, be sure to contact the StuCo Director at your campus to let them know you are interested in getting involved.  And be sure to check out the StuCo page on the website for information about summer events!
