NewThing Associates are group of individuals who are committed to NewThing's vision of being a catalyst for a movement of reproducing churches. The first-ever NewThing Associates breakfast will be held at Jon Ferguson's home on Saturday, June 28 for those would would like to learn more about NewThing.

A great time was had Sunday as the Inaugural ride of the CCC Riders took place from the Romeoville Campus down historic Route 66 to The Landing at Wilmington, IL.  Next ride is scheduled for June 1 at the Yellow Box- Naperville Campus. Rides are scheduled monthly, the first Sunday of each month.

Whether it’s at church, home, work, or in the community, God is calling His people to do what leaders do. Whose job is it to build into you?  The truth is, leaders are responsible for their own leadership development.  Good news: Community Christian Church’s Naperville Yellow Box is an official satellite location for the Leadership Summit 2008.

This past weekend was truly a remarkable milestone in the life of Community Christian Church. We did something we have never done before and gave away our entire weekend offering! Yep, we gave away nearly a quarter of a million dollars. The grand total was just over $229,000!

The Naperville Downtown location has started a choir! This is my favorite thing in the whole world! Nothing adds more energy and enhances worship more then 30 people singing their hearts out on stage!

Do you play a string, wind or brass instrument? Did you play one in high school or college? Then break it out and get involved! One of Community's wonderful musical assets is a 40-piece orchestra.

In order to Help People Find Their Way Back To God we are going to mobilize our campus and utilize our 803 seat auditorium by going to one service! As of April 13 we will have one service starting at 10:10am and it is going to be awesome! This change will allow us to reach out and grow our campus with great energy and focus while allowing us to have classes, small groups, baptisms and so much more following our service. Come and join us on Sunday to experience our new energy with so much more to come!

The Naperville campus has launched a new team dedicated to helping the church and the community become more environmentally friendly. Come meet other Christ followers interested in Green Living. Show how much you care about God's gift to us of our planet & its resources. Help manage our resources wisely though group eco-friendly projects and weekly building wide recycling  management.  Enjoy the amazing companionship of like-minded individuals. Community 4:12, a ministry of Community Christian Church,  has over 20 volunteers participating in our Brady Buddies program. Volunteers spend an hour or more each week helping in a classroom at Brady Elementary in East Aurora. Community 4:12 is now taking the program to Bardwell Elementary in East Aurora, and we have a list of teachers waiting for YOU to come help them reach struggling students.  If you can spare an hour a week between 9:00am - 2:30pm, we would love to get you plugged in.  Contact Jacque O'Connor at chefjacqu@aol.com for more information on how you can become a Bardwell Buddy!

Child dedications will be held during each service at the above locations.  This is a special time when parents and families have the opportunity to publicly express their desire to raise their child in a way that is pleasing to God.   To dedicate your child or if you have questions, please fill out an information card in the nursery during the weekend at your campus, or contact Cathy Cuny at (630)388.5134, or  dedication@communitychristian.org,  Please sign up by Monday, April 21 to secure your spot for this event.

Beginning in April and May, Marriage Rebuilders will begin sessions at Naperville, Romeoville, Shorewood and Pilsen Campuses.  Marriage Rebuilders is a seminar/small group experience for couples who want to strengthen their marriage relationship and learn practical skills for success.

A new small group for women will begin on Monday, April 7, at 10am in Naperville. The topic will be "Daily Prayer and Meditation Through the Bible" and it will meet at 1053 Edgewater Dr. (2 short blocks east of Washington, just off Gartner). This small group is for any women who wants to deepen their relationship with God, while reading His word and then sharing with the group what God has taught you.
