Chris Savini and Bill Gossman are in Haiti making a difference because of the contribution from COMMUNITY attenders. Chris and Bill attend COMMUNITY and when the tragedy in Haiti occurred they volunteered to go and do what they could to serve. Chris has taken several missions trips to Haiti and speaks Creole and Bill is and ER Physician trained in disaster medicine. They traveled in Haiti with The Global Orphan Project Team from Kansas City, a ministry partner of Restore Community Church which is part of our NewThing Network of churches. The tragedy they are seeing is beyond description but how they are serving is directly impacting lives and it is because of your donations. To make a donation, click here. Bill Gossman was able to call his wife and relay some details of the conditions in Haiti. Read what his wife relayed to me below:

The launch of Community’s 11th campus is fast approaching! On March 21st at 10am Aurora North will take flight. It’s gonna be a great day. Would you pray for us? There’s, obviously, matrix to fill (mostly Kids' City!) and projects to finish (theater and office) but we desire your prayers mostly for the people we are trying to Impact for the Kingdom. Pray that God will touch their hearts now. That they will be open to an invitation, begin seeking God or wanting something more in life. We’re targeting 45,000 homes – 135,000 people. Thanks in advance for your prayers.

How would
you like to take part in an amazing experience at our Naperville Downtown location? Can you picture yourself as The
Smiling Face greeting those who come through our Church doors? Or helping
others determine what their “Next Steps” might be? And of course, there’s
nothing better than seeing the smiles on the faces of our Little One’s from Kids' City
longing for treats and hot cocoa. If this describes you; we would love to
discuss you being apart of our Downtown first impressions team. Contact Wendy
Sztolyar at wendysztolyar@yahoo.com
or fill out a communication card on the weekend.

If you have been part of COMMUNITY for any amount of time, you likely have heard us mention the 3C’s (celebrate, connect and contribute) or our mission: helping people find their way back to God. It’s these core experiences, and mission, that drives us to be who we are and do what we do. However, you may wonder why we even care about these things; which is totally understandable. With those questions in mind, we created a new small group curriculum called the Story of You.
